Description

In this unflinchingly honest and refreshingly unsentimental coming-of-age story, 14-year-old Lila spends a languid South Brooklyn summer playing third wheel to her promiscuous friend Chiara and Chiara’s boyfriend Patrick. Eager for her own sexual awakening, Lila gamely decides to pursue the older, thuggish Sammy, rumored to sleep with anyone. But as Lila’s overt advances unmask her inexperience and quiet desperation, she’s quickly pushed into frightening and unwelcome new territory.

Wow! Just because it's an indie doesn't mean it doesn't have to tell a story.

The trailer made the movie look very promising however; the story was extremely draggy and lacked. I was so board I had to fast forward trough the long drawn out silent scenes. This movie is not what it seems.

Wish I would have pid more attention to the reviews. I thought the trailer looked decent. I was wrong, the intriguing parts of the trailer were the only highlights of the film. I can think of better Indie films to watch. Don't waste your money.

Well, nothing happens in this movie. The lead character makes irrational decisions that even a sexually frustrated teenage girl the protagonist is supposed to be wouldn't do. She spends most, if not all, of the film passive. Do not watch.

i like the subject matter, but if you want to see it done well, watch ‘smooth talk’ with laura dern and treat williams. this SUCKED. it’s boring and dull. the lead actress is so blank, i wanted to slap her silly through the whole thing. not worth watching.

A quiet, but powerful, visually evocative film about how confusing hormonal lust is.
