Vampires from space. A brief part for Patrick Stewart. Mostly awful.

They sure don't make 'em like they used to, right? Bloody and over the top sci-fi with a gorgeous Mathilda May naked throughout! Great score too that sticks in your head!

I have always enjoyed this film for what it was, a great story filled with action and vampire aliens and a hot naked space chick that wants to make out with everyone she comes across. However this version of the flim was unique to the one I saw a s boy, in that the creatures spoke! On my early VHS copy, the girl was the only one who spoke and it was quite a long time until she did, here she is talking in the ESA, and the males didn't speak at all. I really enjoy that this version is a few minutes longer with a few more lines, even if the dialoge was a bit cheezy.

Loved it. Cheezy and cheap sets, but the story was captivating. I bet this as a book would be wonderful.
  • Very good.

Read the book As it was originally called;”Space Vampires.” It had me hooked. The movie is equally entertaining. Much fun to be had. Check it out.

Should have won the Oscar for best movie ever made. Instead the Academy, in its infinite wisdom, bestowed that honor upon Highlander. What can one say? Space vampires sucking the lifeforce out of humans. Naked female space vampires wandering England. John Luc Picard forming out of a disembodied floating globule of blood. Brilliance all around.
  • Energy vampires from space wreak havoc on London a la 24 days later.

An '80s sci-fi cult classic that only recently became available on iTunes. A must for the sci-fi collection. Yes, Patrick Stewart/Jean Luc Picard is in this one, but Mathilda May is who you will remember the most (even though she barely speaks). Effects are pretty good considering the date this was made.
