4/10 Wrong Cops is filthy, depraved, and unfortunately, a misfire. I have to admit I laughed a couple times, once really hard. That was the scene with Eric Warehiem where he humped the car. I almost choked. But otherwise than that, 90% of the gags misfired. Im sorry to say it but Wrong Cops isn’t a very well directed movie, a not very well acted movie (besides Warehiem, who’s a genius) and not a very well written movie. Im sorry but I was really disappointed, because I had head a lot about Quentin Dupieux and was excited to see his material. If their is one redeeming thing it’s the cool Mr. Ozio (Quentin Dupieux) soundtrack. I don’t hate the movie, I just don’t think its worth your time.

If Luis Buñuel were alive today and he had to make a low-brow comedy, this is close to what you would get. Quentin Dupieux applies a surreal and absurdist cinematic viewpoint to a series of profane, perverse and odd comedy sketches that one might expect from the 1990's Upright Citzens Brigade. These short stories are all meshed together in a movie that is hellbent on subverting the concept of comedies like Police Academy / Caddyshack / Animal House. The result is as odd as it is funny. While it never fully works --- the steady stream of offensive humor and especially skilled comedic acting keeps you watching. You might feel the need to take a shower afterward, but if you enjoy dark, politically-incorrect humor fused with experimental filmmaking --- it is a safe bet you will enjoy WRONG COPS. Imagine a more "mainstream" SUPERTROOPERS if it were on acid with a far more angry vibe.

This movie is probably not for everyone, however, if you enjoy eastbound and down you'll love this. Just an incredible movie.

Simply put Quentin Dupieux is marching to his own beat and thank god for that. Too many movies being made all feel like one another and very few make bold choices. This is a tour de force film with great performances by Mark Burnham and Maryilyn Manson. See this movie.

Bad plot. Piss poor acting. Waited for anything funny but was left disappointed. Don't waste your time with this awful film. Wish Apple gave refunds for renting crap like this!

Some people just don't have the mindset to appreciate how wonderfully actors can be given a role and execute it believably even in an unbelievable movie. Everyone was hilarious. Eric Wareheim's glassy eyed stare when it comes to breasts and the whole "my song is so great, it needs to be produced NOW" urgency of Eric Judor's character made my sides hurt. A must watch. But then again, I enjoyed Dupieux's movie "Rubber" about the homicidal tire so take my advice with a grain of salt.
