Description

Serial commitment-phobe, Dave, is reeling from his decision to break up with his near perfect, now ex-girlfriend. As he tries to forget her, his contradictory inner monologue comes to life and clouds his mind with ludicrous pieces of advice. Meanwhile, still stunned by the turn of events, Carrieā€™s own disjointed inner monologue pushes her to move on with someone less complicated. A timely real life warning sends Dave on a sincere and sometimes fumbled personal journey to conquer his fear of relationships.

Nathan Ives brilliantly covers the inner voices of each sex. Almost a daily comment heard or spoken of each of us, "I wish I knew what went through a guys/girls mind," and Nathan dissects this in a unique and comical way. Relationships being a main ingredient of life, we can all take something or a lot from this film. Not everyday does a romantic comedy teach us something while also getting the feel-good funny romance story. This one does, and beyond comical, it's hysterical! I've attended two screenings in two different cities as Nathan is on US tour (unique, also), and it received more laughs and conversation than most any film I've seen. It deserves 5 stars in multiple categories, if that was available to click.

I loved this movie!! My husband (of 11 years) and I watched this together and we both loved it! Makes you appreciate the crazy crap we go through to find love! We ALL have those voices in put head that make falling in love a bit like a roller coaster ride, and it's fun to see it play out on the big screen! Such a great film for both sexes... Definitely not just a "chick flick".

Loved this sweet, often poignant and very real film. Ross & Joelle have great chemistry and both gave spot on performances. I also loved scene stealers Vivica A. Fox and Ary Katz. It's a delightful film. You won't be disappointed.

Great chemistry between the leads and a really fun concept that makes one think about the voices in one's head that hilariously vie to get us to listen to them. Very enjoyable and winning movie...

Just saw this movie; clever, well written, good laughs but with a strong, non sappy story. Take a chance and buy/rent or see it if is comes to your area.

Love it!!! This unique movie breaks the "chick flick" mold that many cynics despise about romantic comedies. Clever, witty dialogue and an amazing cast make you examine the voices in your own head while watching the main characters and their inner voices light up the screen. Fun seeing Vivica Fox, and Maggie Wheeler (Janet from 'Friends' sit-com) take such a departure from their typical roles! Watch it, you won't be disappointed!!

Yes, yes....are you ready for a movie that will make you laugh, warm your heart, and touch you deep inside while making you think? Go and see this film! It offers so much and is so worth your time, money, and attention. I guarantee that you will walk away feeling happy and thoughtful. This movie peeks inside the psyche of the young American man and woman. It deals with that age-old issue of love and commitment in a very unique way. It does not disappoint and it creates a platform for many post-movie discussions with friends/loved ones. GO AND SEE IT!

It's Not You, It's Me will not disappoint! The movie touches on the challenges of modern relationships in a fresh, funny and creative way. I loved the witty banter between the "voices" influencing the main characters- many of which resonated with me- and laughed throughout the film.
