  • You'll probably HATE this movie.

But I didn't! Fans of David Lynch, Takashei Miike or outre cinema in general will most likely enjoy trying to decipher this film for hours after it's over. Those seeking a conventional horror film should look elsewhere, unless your idea of conventional is Lost Highway. The story is minimal, and the on-screen violence is nil, but the soundtrack plays games with your head like no image could. If Coppola's "The Conversation" raiding Dario Argento's medicine cabinet sounds like your idea of a good time, dim the lights and wear headphones or else your neighbors will think you're murdering someone.

He was so good in Painted Veil, and in the Capote movie that I'll enjoy anything he's in. I confess I have no idea what this film was about, but since Jones was in it, I enjoyed it.

100% tension with no resolution. When the movie "ended" (never really started), I screamed out, "What the heckl did I just watch?!" Save your money.

This movie intrigues for awhile until one realizes it's not going anywhere.

I'm a sucker for weird and original movies, but this one just didn't cling to me. I've seen it advertised as a horror movie quite a few times, which is why I was a little disappointed when I watched it because this is nowhere near horror; there are one or two scenes that are a little creepy, but nothing actually scary like it advertised to be. It's a slow-paced drama/thriller that was interesting enough to keep me entertained, but once it was over, it left me thinking "what was the point of all that?" And when the climax hit, it made me a little confused and kinda took me out a little. But overall, the movie's ambiance is overly freaky with good acting and an interesting story, but it's definitely nothing special.
