Description

In the epic third installment of Adam Green’s slasher franchise, Marybeth (Danielle Harris, Halloween) uncovers the true secret to stopping the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of deformed maniac Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder, Friday the 13th) stalking the New Orleans bayou for decades. An entire police department, paramedic response team, and heavily armed S.W.A.T. unit face off with the iconic monster in this action-packed and explosive horror comedy. Hatchet III is full of stunts and jaw dropping gore effects that raise both the bar and the body count of the previous two films put together. Also starring genre favorites Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), and Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009 and Predators).

It was nonstop action from beginning to end. I loved this sequel, it was the best one yet. and Victor Crowley looked his meanest and the gore was amazing!! Looking forward to another one.

A bit snappy, had some funny parts. A lot of gore as per usual. Totally called the "sins of the father" aspect before they threw it out there. I could rewatch this, but I would have liked a little more Mary Beth instead of just jumping into running around the swamp at night oh look everyone's dead. It became formulaic. I would've liked that since she took his scalp that he was now able to leave the swamp to collect the missing piece of his body. Could've did a crazy bourbon street massacre of all the freaks. Oh well, low budget is usually better. There'll probably be another sequel. Even though, they should stop it here and be done. I give it E for effort, but the second one was better. This one just needed something bigger or crazy plot twist or something. I may be way off but I feel like it was missing something. Oh and nice reincarnation sequences with old characters, kinda funny.

For a franchise that prides itself on how creative it's monster dispatches it's victims, this one is lacking.

For the Horror, it was in your face, blood and guts, limb removal, bodies being tore in half, face and head smashing type of movie, and if that is what you want, here it is!! But, don't expect any descent acting, nor a plot that follows its own 'tale' to the movie. It was an over all BAD movie, and I can not recommend it, other than if you are just wanting to see the gross, somewhat poorly done special effects....... This is for you. All I can wish is that they not make any sequels. Can you imagine?

I honestly think that they should've stopped after the second Hatchet movie, being that its ending seemed to conclude everything. It's kinda ridiculous how they brought Crowley back in this one, although it's definitely interesting. I'm not saying I didn't like this installment; I've enjoyed all three movies, it's just that I don't think this one was necessary. But anyway, Hatchet III delivers all the gore and mess that we expected out of another sequel. The biggest complaint I have about this one is that we don't see as much of the swamp as we saw in the first two movies; it seemed like the characters in the swamp were confined to just a few places. I liked the other two movies because of the characters being chased THROUGHOUT the swamp, not just going back and forth between point A and point B as in this one. It's just not as fun if the characters are confined to a couple of places in the swamp. But this third installment doesn't disappoint when it comes to brutal and painful kills, so if you saw the first two movies, seeing this one is a must. And I don't doubt that there will be a fourth one; I don't know how there can be another sequel, but I said that after the second one too, so I'm sure they can find a way.

Adam Green out did himself this time. I love one, two and three was the icing on the cake. More drama and just the right amount of humor. The characters and acting was dead on; i love that you had Derek Mears and Kane Hodder go at it. Two Jason's V. i'm so blown away by this movie i can't even put it into words. Also, there was a scene in the movie i love ( a surprise ). Very creative. Hint. Boat And as always a wicked ending. Adam you've proved that you can hang with the best. Chop, Chop. I know that a Hatchet 4 is on the arise. And i will be waiting. Can't wait to buy this one.

Wow! This is one of my new favorite horror series because it's exacty what all slasher flicks of the 80s it needs to be: fun, gory, over the top, and overall fun! It's a gorefest all the way through and Danielle Harris is an amazing actress! Her and Jamie Lee Curtis are my favorites OF ALL TIME. While some didn't like Hatchet 2, I disagree. I thought it was good too but this one beats it by a mile. You won't be disappointed!
