Description

In 1995, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Layne Staley of Alice In Chains, Barrett Martin of the Screaming Trees and bassist John Baker Saunders played their final show as Seattle-grunge supergroup Mad Season at the Moore Theater in Seattle. The new release of "Live At The Moore" features the legendary show remixed, remastered for 5.1 sound and also newly edited by director Duncan Sharp for a beautiful new documentary-like presentation, giving the show an updated look as if the viewer were in room that night. Fans will be pleased that included are four performances from the show that have never been seen, including the fan-favorite "Wake Up." Also featured is a full concert of Mad Season's performance from New Years Eve 1994 at RKCNDY in Seattle (which was shot by the band's crew for an up close and intimate look at the band), both performances from Pearl Jam's pirate radio special, "Self-Pollution Radio," and the music video for the hit single "River of Deceit".

I was just about to buy the Deluxe Mad Season Disc since I cant find my copy of the Moore show. Then I found this gem!!! Have I been sleeping under a rock?! Layne Staley was such a beautiful soul. I named my first son, Layne, mainly because it such a unique name. Yet, Staley will always be my favorite singer. The band is super tight in this performance. Mike McCready is a true guitar God! Long live Mad Season!!!

Excellent doesn't begin to describe this Movie which has the best live version of "I Don't Know Anything" Live at the Moore and a version of "Artificial Red" Live @ RKCNDY New Years Eve 1994 that will make your toes curl! For these two videos alone, I would glady pay $12.99. The entire movie however has both concerts in full, which makes it what I would call "my most valued purchase of this year" and possibly for years to come. I'm absolutely in love with Layne Staley's voice and charisma and I only wish Mad Season would have made more albums.
