I don't understand some of the negative comments on this movie, it had a great story line from beginning to end. Okay so what they added kim kardasian she was barely on, people are just haters! Don't regretting watching it at all. 👏🏻

Probably the worst Perry movie ever made. I only watched it because it was included as part of the iTunes bundle that I purchased. Really, really painful to watch. Most Perry movies are only for mild entertainment as is and shouldnt be expected to be complex. However, I was really suprised at how bad this one was.

***SPOILERS AHEAD*** This movie has no redeeming qualities at all. Gratuitously dark with discriminatory undertones. Though it is set forth as a cautionary tale about temptation and the devaluation of marriage, the overrarching theme has little to do with the sanctity of marriage and more to do with an archaically punitive attitude towards women who cheat. The AIDS diagnosis conveys the subtle but clear message that a woman who commits adultery is to pay for it with her life. The protagonist's illness is her scarlet letter, her death-by-stoning, a sick form of poetic justice for scorned husbands everywhere. It isn't enough that she has to watch her ex-husband remarry and have children with somone else; she must one day (presumably) die alone with no one to help her down off the cross. In the final scene, the protagonist appears acquiescent to her fate, subtly attributing her condition to her infidelity and not to the man who deliberately concealed his HIV status or a lack of adequate prevention. This misleading portrayal of the connection between infidelity and AIDS is not unlike that of the connection between homosexuality and AIDS. It validates a minority belief among the religious right that AIDS is divine punishment for sexual immorality when in fact it is a medical condition and public health crisis. Shame on Tyler Perry for perpetuating such prejudice when there is already more than enough to go around. I regret having supported this franchise.

This movie is not one of Tyler Perry's best. He's dropping movies like cars coming off the factory plant floor and the quality is lacking every year he puts one out. He's got about 5 or 6 shows on TV & a new movie every year. It's too much! Give people a chance to really anticipated a movie Tyler! This was okay, flat mediocre acting and I can't believe it's still priced at $16.99 HD & $15.99 SD. You really need to put this one in the $7.99 bin.

Some people are writing some pretty harsh reviews but, I on the other hand would totally disagree with those comments. This is a great movie and teaches everyone a lesson about the whole "don't loose your diamond by picking up a rock."

It is just freaking amazing how the work of an envelope pushing, original genius can get so little attention while that of a single-minded conformist can get so much!!! Every party in this story is a wall, a thick wall. THICK AS STEEL!! Why is Bryce so careful in everything he does? Why is Judith so ungrateful for her husband's belief in simplicity? Why does she not try to call her mother out on her persistence and stubbornness? And if she sees her ring and knows that Harley has no business being there, then why does she keep so bleeping quiet?! NO ONE KNOWS!!! As for Judith's mother, is she really that perfect that she does not have to question her own choices or conduct at all? Let's face it. These are not people. They are not even human beings. Otherwise, TP would not suggest that HIV/AIDS is a discriminatory matter. Promiscuity is often a contributor to the contracton of STDs, but who said it stands alone? NOT all people deliberately throw their lives away and then work up the nerve to ask their best friends to stand aside and cheer!!! These characters, to me, are NOT characters. They are pancakes. As is the sloppy narrative structure. And the setting is just a GD STAGE! How about some symbolism or anything to suggest that the drama could unfold anytime anywhere; that D.C. or whereever just happens to be the place? How about some character with depth, with whom everyone who is anyone can actually relate? Sorry, TP, but this dance is over...and out.
