I remember seeing this movie in the theaters when it came out.

Richard Dreyfuss was amusing, though he hammed it up quite a bit. Honestly I was more interested in the relationship between his character and the daughter. I didn't really buy into the romantic aspect of this movie.

There is NOTHING more comforting than watching a Neil Simon movie! This film connects with me on a personal level in so many ways. It's my life, literally, in spirit and locale. RIP to one of the all time greatest writers!

An oldie but a goodie!

Quite simply one of the best romantic comedies of the 70's.

Story about a woman whose heart is broken by a bad boy (what a reach!), and finds love, not in another pretty boy, but by an engaging man who wins her heart despite all her significant misgivings. I will always remember this movie as one of my mothers favorites as a child and now it's one of mine as an adult. This is a comical yet touching story of a jaded heart broken single mom / dancer in the big city struggling to piece herself back together from a newly ended bad relationship. She meets an upcoming not yet successful but ambitious actor with the help of fate. Their immediately and unfailing chemistry is what makes this hilarious, witty and timeless story worth seeing again and again through the years. I recommend this to anyone that loves a great romantic comedy with a BELIEVABLE story line and lovable characters! Classic cinema 😍
