Description

In the year 2455, old Earth is a contaminated and abandoned planet for centuries, a gray world with violent storms, toxic continents and poisoned seas. Yet humans have returned to that place of death from which they once fled, not to live there, but to search for the ancient artifacts of a now lost civilization. But it will not be the harmful environment to test the intrepid and young explorers who have just landed. Today is Friday the 13th and Jason is alive!

This is easily the most ludicrous entry in the entire Friday franchise, and that’s far from a bad thing. While this series has flirted with genuine brilliance for its intended genre a couple of times, I’ve always— strange as it may sound— had the most fun with these films laughing rather than flinching. For as much as this series has tried and failed to tell a story, it has(unintentionally I’m sure) made for the ideal breeding grounds for self-parody, and it is that spirit that Jason X embodies fully. Diehard fans of the series should approach with caution, as the word that best describes this movie’s relation to its predecessors is “Mockery” but anyone looking for a stupid, fun, cheesy slasher flic will find a treat in Jason X.

This film isn't like the others, lacking the great dialogue that the other films had, the dialogue in this film is more like Batman and Robin. But unlike Batman and Robin, this film is a fun experience, with no grit, no scares, but plenty of the creative kills that the franchise is known for. Worth the buy!

Never taking itself too serious, this is still one of the most inventive of the Friday series. Some very cool special effects for a low budget movie...

I thought I was watching a Jason Voorhees movie. Turns out Jason X was a Sci-Fi channel flik, and to say that is a direct insult to the Sci-Fi channel. Bad cinematography, bad music, bad dialogue, bad acting, bad everything.
