Description

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, to perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock And Roll," "Kashmir" and "Stairway To Heaven." A film of the show, Celebration Day, is now available and includes the entire 16 song concert.Celebration Day, directed by Dick Carruthers, is an incredible document of the now legendary concert which has been described as possibly the greatest rock and roll concert ever.

Unbelievable performance. I wish it could have gone on and included more of their library. Never can get enough!

A wonderful production of sight and sound! The band rises to the occasion and then some. I am awash in nostalgia…there will never again be another Led Zeppelin!

This is not an oldies show. This is not a replicate of past glories. Their sound is updated but not forced in any way. Robert Plant might even sound better than in the old days. Jimmy Page (I have a Gibson Les Paul Custom 1968) is absolutely incredible, his guitar sound is just vicious. It snarls! it's also wonderful when softer! such as in Stairway to Heaven which is done without acoustic guitar. His playing on Ramble On is just exceptional. This music is not dated whatsoever. It's old glory in new splendor.
  • Wow! They still have the spark

I have bought a lot of classic rock video concerts and this is the best. The Gold Standard of rock concerts.

This is a compilation of Zep's most renown songs, done by the masters themselves. A must see for all you die-hard Zep fans. It's true that they get better with age!! Keep rockin' guys!!

I have vivd memories of Zeppelin's last US world tour in 1977 - still have the T shirt so yes I am a die hard fan. That said, I was pretty upset when Page got sick during the Chicago show and they had to stop in the middle of their acoustic set, never to be seen again (by me at least). Until now...what a treat to see them together and with Bonham in spirit through his son. What an awesome tribute to greatness. The performance is nothing short of spectacular, and the sound is incredible. The hammer of the gods...enjoy!

Beyond five stars! I would need 10 starts for a rating that gives minimal justice. Words to describe, . . ., after much thought, transcendental. This concert movie transcends time and quality thresholds for sound, video, and most amazing performance by a band. Robert, Jimmy and John Paul were on the top of their game. Jason's performance was equally brilliant and his percussion skill was astoundingly tight. The band's performance was flawless and demonstrated absolute mastery of their trade. I will watch this many times to absorb all the richness of their performance.
