Riotously funny romantic comedy about a Southern mother trying to set her son up with someone. Well written and acted.

Loved it! Funny, feel good movie! Highly recommend! Are there any more movies out there by Keith? Read his books and thought they were great. Was thrilled when I happened upon a movie by him!

You forget that this is such a low budget film due to the outrageous and fun characters! Great writing. Some of it is predictable and stereotypical, but just so dang funny that the these things are forgotten and you just really enjoy the ride. …the one question I have unanswered is why did the boyfriend leave the son?

Cute film with an endearing mom and aunt...and a few handsome men included for good measure!
  • A Gay Old time!

Some gay films use cliches and skin to fill the movie but YSMMS stays grounded in family while keeping its rainbow charm. Watching a Southern mom do a 180 from appalled at the sexuality to crusader for a husband is both charming and a hoot. And there are some hotties to boot! Loved it!

This movie is charming, the story of a guy and his terrific mom who, while at first shocked to find out her son is gay, comes around and enlists her sister in the hunt for her son's Mr. Right. Great acting, especially the two female leads. The scene when the two women (of a certain age) walk into a gay bar to 'find a man' is hysterical. The various gay relationships portrayed in the film run the gamut and the main love story is touching. I thoroughly recommend this movie!
