Ashley's Ashes

This film is surprising, touching, funny, a little wild and strange, while carrying a message we can all feel good about. The acting of Googy Gress is innovative and moving. He provides the viewer with so many ways for the viewer to relate. I was impressed with the character played by Daniel Baldwin, who through a little strange behavior brings the viewer to a better understanding of the film and ourselves. Gigi Rice does an incredible job of adding humor to the film and seems to enjoy using her unassuming husband's good nature. Clint Howard had me laughing and Orson Bean had me wondering. The direction of this film is very good and the story, while is starts a bit slow, turns on quickly and keeps most viewers wondering, "what the heck is going to happen to poor Bob next," (the character played by Googy Gress). This is a true feel-good movie that will make the viewer take a closer look at their own lives. Keep the tissues handy. Great job and kudos the whole cast and crew of "Ashley's Ashes," you made my evening. If you are a person who is fond of Opossums you might want to close your eyes during the pool scenes. Have fun and enjoy this film.
