Description

Area 407 features footage that feels too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction. This footage captured by two passengers on an airline flight from New York to Los Angeles spans the hours of one night until the next early morning. Boarding the plane on New Years Eve, two teenage sisters begin there impromptu filming of themselves and their fellow travelers. Unknown to them as well as the other passengers this flight is doomed from the outset.

  • Awful. Period.

Full of bad improvised dialog that does nothing to advance the plot, characters, fear factor or tension. Noisy and irritating as all actors talk over each other, scream, yell and cry throughout the entire film. Excessively shaky, disjointed and distracting camera work that hopes to hide the lack of special effects budget by making you nauseous. Very poor acting with characters you simply don't care about and honestly hope to see die. An ending that is predictable, anti-climatic, and way too typical of "found footage" films. The "monster" that is revealed in the very last shot of the film explains where these plane crash survivors have landed but is simply unimpressive, unimaginative and not original. Awful make up. Awful camera work (was surprised that someone actually took credit for the camera work in the closing credits). Awful script (in fact, I'm not sure there actually was a script). Awful special effects (that appear maybe twice in the film and were probably " copied and pasted" from a VHS of a Stephen Spielberg movie from 10+ years ago). I kept looking for (hoping for) some redeeming element to this film to justify the $7 price tag so I watched it all the way thru. Nothing. Hind sight being 20/20, I would have offered someone $20 to turn the TV off or change the channel!!

This movie is bad, very bad, i have nothing positive to say about this piece of $&@! The only thing worse than the acting, was the make up, the story, the dialogue, and the casting. Why, oh why, did they cast a 32-year old for the part of a 12-year old .... And the incessant screaming of "Trish, Trish, TRIIISSSHHH" .... I rooted for the monster.

Lame plane crash, Handful of survivors picked off by a T-rex., complete waste of time and money. Watch Jurrasic park instead better story, better acting, better dinosaurs. Not to mention the yongest of the main actors has probably one of the most annoying voices ever. This is just another hand held movie monstrosity that at best was poorly done. except if you count the fact that all the survivors had head wounds, and bled bright red shiny blood that NEVER dries out. If your gonna make a cheap movie why don't you at least shoot for some kind of athenticity!? Yes movies are supposed to be for fun, but this kind of junk just insults my intelligence.

This is the first review I have ever written on itunes but I had to let people know not to waste their time with this garbage. This film has a terrible plot and the most annoying main characters ever. The only thing that kept me watching after the first 20 minutes was my hopefullness that all the characters would die. Skip this rental, I wish I did.

Rarely do I feel the need to negatively review a movie unless it will save someone the cost and their valuable time. This movie was truly horrible. Aside from the handy-cam, shaky, played out type of video capture, the blood effectes were not believable, the storyline was not believable, and the acting was below basic. I'd like to find one redeeming feature about this movie, but honestly I can't. If the price were not expensive compared to so many other better films, I don't think I would take as much issue with it. Bottom line...don't waste your money on this...the other positive reviews must either be plants or overly generous.

hmmm..where do i start with this one. im quite sure everyone is aware of the whole, "found footage - reality" horror style film which is beat into the ground at this point and this film takes on that severe shaky cam , running feet, night vision look yet again. the production is quite typical with the video camera being hand held and running the entire time they are under attack which makes me think how amazing their video cam batteries must be, especially with a light attached to it which seems to never run out of battery in this film. The acting is pretty good overall and the story is decent with a scare happening every now and again. i wasn't overly impressed with the type of creature they chose as the main "creature" and i thought that could have been a little more creatively done but all in all this was actually entertaining. The fx were well done in places and you do actually believe most of the acting performances. the main girl holding the camera is probably the best of the bunch and the ending was slightly predictable but fun. Overall i'd say that this is definitely worth the rental price but maybe not to be purchased in my opinion. You should definitely give this a look. Its fun!
