Description

An action-packed suspense-thriller starring Academy Award® nominee Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, The Lovely Bones), Hanna is “an exuberant chase thriller that pulses with energy!” (Justin Chang, Variety). Raised by her father (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA agent, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna’s upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one. Sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe, eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence, in a movie critics are calling “exhilarating, audacious and boldly original!” (Karen Durbin, Elle)

  • Deployable Ultra Violent Should Be Removed

This is truly a deployable movie about a teenage girl with killing and causes harm to others. Not something that any one should watch - the plot it incoherent, makes no sense and provides no value other than to inspire violence against other people.
  • One of the best movies I have ever watched!

Only a few movies have really made me think "that was a great movie", this was definitely one of them. You have got to check it out
  • Huge plot holes

The acting is good, store line interesting but, so many plot holes and people showing up at the right place at the right time to piece the story together. I found myself saying out loud "What? Why?" during a lot of scenes. Don't bother if you like to hvae a cohereant story plot.

Because so many people panned it on here I thought I'd give it a try, see if maybe it would be another Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - disparaged by the masses and lauded by...others...not seeking predictable formulaic Hollywood...formulae. I also rented it because Saoirse Ronan is one of my most admired actors. I wasn't dazzled. Neither the movie nor the performances (not even Ms. Ronan's) connected with me. The actor who impressed me most was Jessica Barden - I thought her performance was pretty masterful. I do also appreciate Tom Hollander playing those ice-cold, murderous dorks (I'm sure I've seen him play one at least once before). But nothing else about the movie much grabbed me - it had elements that would have been appealing to me had they been handled differently, but that, the way they actually were handled, consistently missed the mark for me. It seems to me I've heard and liked Chemical Brothers music in the past - maybe their first big album - but this soundtrack was like the rest of the movie for me: a bunch of sounds appealing in their raw form, combined in a way as to leave me cold. I guess if I was to sum up the experience in one word, it would be "dissonant". And thus disappointing.

I absolutely love the little actress Hanna: Saoirse Ronan. She is amazing! I always watch this movie every time I remember it, and now, I decided to buy it, instead of streaming or renting it. I was looking forward to ‘Hanna 2’ but it never happened 🙁 I will still rewatch this classic monthly now💕
