Description

Still the faithful protector of Notre Dame's beloved bells, Quasimodo now rings them with the help of Esmeralda and Phoebus's little boy, Zephyr, who is Quasi's best friend. Stopping with Zephyr at a traveling circus owned by the evil magician Sarousch, Quasi is captivated by Sarousch's lovely assistant, Madellaine. But greedy Sarousch is plotting to steal the Cathedral's most famous bell -- with Madellaine's unwilling help. Encouraged by some laughably misguided advice from his gargoyle pals, Quasi listens to his own heart -- and discovers that he, too, must look past appearances to find true love.

I always enjoyed the original hunchback of notre dame and always will find it a classic gem along with its gentle Disney animation, the plot, the characters, and the Catchy music. I never seen this sequel before but seen some clips and.... the animation doesn’t look so Disney magical like the original film instead it looks like cheap like some knock-off movie. But what do I despise more than the cheap low budget? The songs! Yup, the songs aren’t as catchy as the original film was. The songs are more annoying and boring, the scene were Quasimodo sings “ someone who loves you” was nothing but simply dumb. All it’s trying to do is make Quasimodo sing a song similar to the song “ Out there” from the FRIST film. HECK, he even does Relatable movements from the original while he sings “ someone who loves you”. Ehh..and those three gargoyles weren’t that funny as they were in the original film, I guess some of their roles were kinda “funny” but defiantly not as funny as they were in the previous film. I am in the mood of shouting out “ Ugh!” By the way, I GET the reason why Quasi got a girlfriend in this sequel. Because he is supposed to be described as “ugly” and “ scary” and he never got a girlfriend in the FRIST movie because of the way he looks. I don’t care if Quasi has a Special someone but I don’t really like the girl he fell in love with. She just doesn’t have much personality, she isn’t that detailed, and it’s just that she isn’t my type of character! Because most of the Disney direct to video sequels happen to fail and shouldn’t have happen in the FRIST place. I thought of a clever idea instead of making a sequel for hunchback, they should of just made a TV series on toon Disney. Remember some of those classic television series on Toon Disney some of them were originally movies. Hunchback should of been a tv series and probably every one will like it as much as they like the FRIST movie.

The Disney prequels are the WORST. They don’t have the same company to animate it, Disney is probably rolling in his grave because the prequels are so poor, 😔

Eh...it was alright. It wasn’t all that great. But on the plus side, Quasimodo gets a girlfriend.
  • Awesome!

I think we can all agree with most of these Disney Direct To Video sequels that most of them are pretty terrible. But some of them were pretty decent. These good ones include Aladdin & The King Of Thieves, The Little Mermaid II:Return To The Sea and The Hunchback of Notre Dame II. The film isn't that long clocking in at just little more than 65 minutes, but I really liked it a lot. I really liked how Esmeralda and Phoebus had a son. It was cute. The ending is a little anti-climatic though, but I won't spoil it.
  • Not bad, not great, honestly expected more out it.

This movie honestly is the reason why I'm so picky with Disney direct-to-video sequels. While some are good, others are not so much, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame II is one of those sequels. But I guess this story was the best they could come up with for this movie, so I'd at least have to give them some credit. The only bad thing I have to say about this movie is the songs, they just don't have that kind of zing to them like in the original film, but instead they're more annoying than catchy, it's probably because Alan Menken wasn't there writing the songs for this film. The only good things I have to say about this film is Quasimodo finds his own true love and the humorous puns delivered from the three wisecracking gargoyles. Bottom line: not that much of a great film, but not too horrible for finding a decent story.

The first movie was not good enough for them to make a sequel.
  • The best movie ever!

Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved this movie. When I was about 4, my dad showed me this movie and I instantly clicked to it. I always watched the movie before I went to bed and when I woke up. Whenever my family asked what movie I wanted to watch, this movie would be the answer. I honestly feel that this movie shows a lesson to everyone that you should look deeper than the outside because everyone has a true gift. My kids have watched this movie since they were little. It has always been and will always be my favorite movie!
  • Possibly Le jour d'amour is the only good song.

I blame the critics who are mad about this movie, along with audiences due to poor animation. Madellaine should be in Sofia the First in the future voiced by Neve Campbell or Vanessa Williams. It could be possible that Esmeralda would be here, but she's an unofficial princess. Also, it could be assumed Corey Burton would voice Clopin in the future since Paul Kandel ain't able to reprise his role in Sofia the First, along with Esmeralda voiced by Jennifer Hale. Also for that, Phoebus would also be voiced by Corey Burton. The archdeacon would still be voiced by Jim Cummings. I hope so❗😃😃 I give this movie a two thumbs up, because Sarousch is the weakest villain of all, rather than Frollo. Sarousch would be voiced by Corey Burton in the future.
