Great storyline about how sometimes the least expected person ends up being the right one for you.

One of the worst films ever made. Terrible script, horrible performances from normally fantastic actors, stale direction. How does such a good team produce such inferior cinema? Felt like I was watching a beginning acting class. Story never redeemed itself did not care about characters. Poorly directed script that never should have gotten made. Waste of money to make.Waste of money to pay to see. Waste of 2 hrs watching.

Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses, but this movie was plain bad. It was not funny. In fact, it was extremely boring. Please, do not waste your money by renting this movie.

After reading 10-12 reviews, I wanted to say something to those who disliked/hated this movie:  I get it. It's no classic. Great acting talent and a mediocre story.  But I think the movie accomplished its purpose, which is to show how some people connect … while others don't. Relationship are alive --- they're dynamic --- and don't succeed because technically the man and woman are right for each other.  Perfection without the spark … well, it just doesn't work. I believe the viewers who enjoyed "How do you know" focused on that message, and rather than the movie's production qualities.  For some, the movie --- like George and Lisa 's relationship --- may not have been technically impressive, but it succeeded nevertheless.   I hope that while you were evaluating the movie, at least you absorbed its message.

This movie is horrendous...and I am a huge Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson fan. I couldn't even finish the movie. There is absolutely no focus in the film...it's all over the place. I don't know if it's supposed to be about a girl going through a hard time because she got cut or if it's about a love triangle or about a guy who has daddy-issues. Please please please don't waste your time with this... God i wish i could give this movie less than one star.
