I felt like this was just long and drawn out and a little boring. An overrated movie in my opinion,

Rio Bravo is one of the greats in the western movie genre, a classic John Wayne western. Any fan of the duke will love this, as I do, but I must say as great as Rio Bravo is, El Dorado is even better!

All of the actors in Rio Bravo are good John Wayne dean Martin Ricky Nelson they're all good and this is still one of my most favorite movies of all time. For dean martin's first western he is good! Good no matter what people say about it.

Get the line right, you guys. The line is “THAT’s all you’ve got?” Funny, sad, and very well-acted.

An excellent movie involving several great personalities. If you're seeking the meaning of life while attempting to connect with your inner self, pick up a book by one of the Bronte sisters or read poetry. Moreover, if you're not a fan of the Duke, move on. However, if you want the type of western we've come to know and love from this consummate American icon, put down your satchel and draw up. Somehow we've bought into the idea that unless a particular work causes deep soul-searching or leaves our psyche conflicted, it's of limited value. Not true. I consider myself something of a thinking man, and I think you'll enjoy this picture for any number of reasons. If you liked El Dorado, Liberty Valence, or The Undefeated, you'll like Rio Bravo.

A great film directed by the master Howard Hawks. Not only was Dean Martin a terrific singer, but a good actor. He shows his acting skills in this one. John Wayne is excellent as always; Walter Brennan is a gem. Might be wrong, but feel Ricky Nelson was cast in this film to attract the younger audience, however, does a decent job. Angie Dickinson is beautiful as a brunette. Lots of action in this shoot'em'up western. Enjoy it! 💥🔫
  • One the Dukes Best and Possibly One of the Greatest Westerns of All

This film is a true classic. John Wayne always played John Wayne but he always had the best roles under director John Ford and Howard Hawks. Rio Bravo deals with the classics of the western bravery, guts, as well as character drama. Not a simple film by any means this film has a Sheriff (Wayne) trying to hold things together against vicious criminals while he has a drunkard deputy (Martin) whom Wayne has to help come to his senses and get his respect back, a peg legged jailer, and a cocky but confident youngester named Colorado. This mixed in with a femme-fatale (Dickinson) who plays a stellar role as the not-so-innocent flare for John Wayne sheriff. Rio Bravo is a triumph and if you enjoy good Westerns you should defiently watch this film. Its one of the best of all times.

In ancient times if you were really disliked after you were dead they would erase (Chop off, chip off, burn) any references, pertaining to Kings, and some others in very high places. I can't stand it when people have to play politics or the current PC Of The Times Game. Watch the movie and rate the movie on it's own right, or don't rate it all, but dump the politics.
