Description

Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix Trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

  • Terribly underrated

The closest Universal ever got (and ever will get) to successfully rebooting the Universal monsters from the golden era. It’s plagued by studio interference and two conflicting editors but was so on the right track unlike Dracula Untold and The Mummy (2017). This film needs and deserves a strong and loyal following.

Great film! I love the original so I was hesitant about this one. But we loved it too! This reworking is dark, gothic, creepy and a different twist on an often told tale. It's a withy tribute to the Universal monsters of yore. Made me want to howl!!

this movie is nuts. its not like horror movies like dracula or the mummy. its even more good because its not like the original. its more darker and scarier. you got things that the original never had. don't listen to the 1, 2, or 3, raters. they wouldn't know a good movie if it hit them on the head. buy this and enjoy it. don't buy it then you'll regreat it.

I have no idea why people don't like this movie? I love this movie!!! When me and my friend left the theater when it came out we were in awe! I eventually saw the unrated version which followed the book 50 x better! This movie is just amazing thats all I got to say

One of the best movies I ever saw, although more of a thriller than a horror movie, the Dark Gothic nature of the movie is brilliant, and the alternative endings are quite a bit of a twist. Overall, it's a great remake of the original movie.
