Description

A soft-spoken Vietnam vet drifts into a small town looking for no trouble, but finds it in the form of a psychotic local sheriff who finds pleasure in hating him for no reason. After being locked up in the local jail, he escapes into the nearby forest where he becomes a one-man army bent on revenge. When things get out of hand, the vet's ex-Colonel comes in with the military to convince him to give up the stand-off.

I remember being very young and watching this movie. Very violent but it's a favorite.

Stallone plays one of his best performances. He shows how our Veterans have difficulties when returning home. If you can try to find a way to show your appreciation to our Vets. Even if you don't agree on war, that Vet made sacrifices for all of us wether it was yesterday or as early as the Civil War.

Excellent. Simply excellent. The acting, the plot, the music, the action. Simply excellent. With one of the world's best closing monologues you'll see in a movie.

In First Blood you see Sylvester Stallone doing what Sylvester Stallone does best- action, action, and action. If you are expecting an intellectual, thoughtful piece, do not buy or rent this movie. But if you are willing to watch once more what you've seen him do a thousand times, go ahead and get First Blood. I don't think you'll regret it.
