I think Rotten Tomatoes have more to do with personality issues with the director. I thought the movie was very good.

What's all the fuss about?

It was SUPPOSED to be a mirror of the original. All of the hated reviews I read we're jaded into believing that Duffy was somehow going to skew away from his roots. This is why this is a cult classic....not meant to be a box office smash. He isn't Tarrantino.....doesn't want to be. If he wanted to be that, he would have made the Saints more ruthless. The movie was well done(a bit forced at times), but all Duffy. I suggest watching it just to have a bearing when Boondock Saints 3 comes out.
Amazing

Everything about this was so well done and with every respect paid to the fans. Perfect example is the iTunes Extras--nearly an HOUR's worth of content & insider goodies. Amazing work guys!

This movie isn't worth it. The first one was really good and a cult classic for the ages. This one shouldn't even been made. And as for the people in other reviews saying they wished the original was on itunes, hey geniuses......it is and yes you can buy it not rent it if you want.
Buy it

Why can't you rent this? And for that matter why can't you rent every movie on itunes? It would be a very profitable for itunes to make more movies available for rent!
Stage6 Films and Troy Duffy where did they do wrong

I don't know what Troy Duffy was thinking when he wote this I think he wanted to try and copy the first boondock saints. This is where he went wrong if you watch the movie you can tell how hard they tried to make the movie any good, I have to say I am disipointed I thought this would be another "Instant cult classic" but it is missing something, maybe it was deciding to join up with "Stage6 Films" I have seen many movies that "Stage6 Films" produced and I am not inpressed. I would suggest renting this movie before you buy it, maybe even check your local library and check it out for free. I wish I had I would recommend skipping this one.

This is the only movie where Sean Bean doesn't die.
