  • Connery's fourth (and biggest) 007 adventure in beautifully vintage 4K.

In 1965, the Bondmania of the decade would reach its zenith with the fourth film Thunderball. Based on Ian Fleming's 1961 novel, the film version retains the story's glitz and glamour by taking the viewer through the sandy beaches of the Bahamas along with spectacular-for-the-time underwater action. It's also the first Bond film to be shot in wider scope helping to usher in more fantastic set pieces that will become a standard for this series. The 4K restoration brings out the luscious, tropical colors that enhance each scene. The film was later remade in 1983 as the unofficial series entry Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery back as Bond in 12 years since 1971's Diamonds Are Forever.

This 4th 007 was amazing. I watched it last night with my dad.
  • The third-best Bond movie (with Sean Connery)

Only slightly dated with the use of a British Vulcan bomber, this is perhaps the third best Bond movie with Sean Connery (right behind GOLDFINGER and FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE). Well acted, with classic screens and resulting lines.

B-O-R-I-N-G.This was a HUGE step down from gold finger the only thing this movie got going for is the villain and the spectacular yet underwhelming underwater fight sequences
  • Great!

Another fantastic Bond movie. I remember seeing this as a kid and cringing when I saw the spear go through the scuba-henchman's arm. I love the plane landing in the water scene.
  • Much better overall look and feel

This Bond film looks as if it received better funding. The special effects are much better than in any previous Bond film. And the fight scenes are better produced and more realistic (very evident in the first fight scene of the movie). The overall production values are high, story is fascinating and kept my attention throughout, and the female lead is gorgeous. If I have one gripe, it is that the ending comes up abruptly. Other than that, this rates up there with my favorite Bond films.

This is Connery's Most wettest Bond and Best. Connery is back in the fourth installment and trust me you will be pleased!

280 million is all they wanted? Why not fix the Powerball for an instant win...no agro, pure profit.
  • One of the weaker 007 movies

I dunno. It just seems 'off'. Sean Connery was obviously preparing to resign from the role. And he seems bored. Also, the villain never gets to that expected scariness! Just not one of the better Bonds.
