Being a player of the violin this title caught my eye. The story drew me in quickly the first time I watched this film and each owner of violin touched a part of me at a personal level. I find myself drawn to watch this story over again now for years now. If you loves stories and the details of a great film this is one for you. I loved it!!!

This movie shows how some instruments are not just made in a factory. Some instruments are born and live with a soul so full of life, love, sadness and beauty that we can all admire. An instrument of this caliber lives on forever with a story so beautiful and courageous that movies are created around it.

This is a very compelling film about the history of a violin that causes dispair for anyone who plays it. The plot takes the viewer through history and modern day in a wonderful way recounting the violins owners. Samuel Jackson does a great role but is not central to the movie. I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic film.
