Description

Academy Award® Winner Nicolas Cage (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Leaving Las Vegas) stars in KNOWING, a gripping action-thriller of global proportions about a professor who stumbles on terrifying predictions about the future—and sets out to prevent them from coming true. In 1958, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule. But one mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead. Fifty years later, a new generation of students examines the capsule's contents and the girl's cryptic message ends up in the hands of young CALEB KOESTLER. But it is Caleb's father, professor JOHN KOESTLER (Nicolas Cage), who makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts with pinpoint accuracy the dates, death tolls and coordinates of every major disaster of the past 50 years. As John further unravels the document's chilling secrets, he realizes the document foretells three additional events—the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve John and his son. When John's attempts to alert the authorities fall on deaf ears, he takes it upon himself to try to prevent more destruction from taking place. With the reluctant help of DIANA WAYLAND (Rose Byrne) and ABBY WAYLAND, the daughter and granddaughter of the now-deceased author of the prophecies, John's increasingly desperate efforts take him on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster—and the ultimate sacrifice.

Kind of strange story line out of the get go. But the further it gets along you will realize that they have created a biblical story that is related to the apocalypse. One of Nick Cages better movies. Not an action packed blow them up storyline. Really recommend it.
  • This is probably the the best movie ever (but Forrest Gump is good to)

Great story, acting, and ending. Rarely do you get all 3 in today's Sci-Fi/Fantasy offerings. One only has to look at the latest Star Wars and Marvel films to see how the Hollywood's leftist agenda is rotting away what used to be solid franchises. But this one...YES!!!

So I watched this moving just to check it out and yes it had some weird stuff in it but it also had a lot of cool stuff in it also and I read a lot of reviews after watching this and some comments were that the ending was terrible because nobody saved the day or the world well I hate to break it to you world but you can't stop the lord and savior Jesus Christ from coming back to destroy the world it says so right in the good book and all of revelations and yes it also says nobody knows when it will happen not the son or the Holy Ghost only the father in heaven knows the year the month the week the day and the hour that the trumpet will sound of his coming, which I do believe will happen one day to this world we live in and at the end of this movie the tree was the tree of life if you don't believe in the word of Christ I recommend after watching this pick up the good book or check it out online because stuff you saw in the movie will make sense believe me I know it's hard to understand but that's why it's called faith and not everything has to be seen to be believed in.
