Description

Bloodhounds of Broadway, based on a tale by Damon Runyon, concerns the romance between good-guy-at-heart bookie Robert "Numbers" Foster (Scott Brady) and hillbilly Emily Ann Stackerlee (Mitzi Gaynor). She's an aspiring actress, and Numbers wants to help her get a leg up in the biz. However, Numbers is being investigated by the Feds. He skips town, but Emily convinces him to do the right thing and turn himself in (though he changes his mind a few times). After finally confessing and serving a year in prison, he returns to Emily - who is now the headliner at a fancy nightclub... a club that hires ex-cons as staff!

Mitzi Gaynor is gorgeous in this movie. The dancing is fabulous also. I love Mitzi in this movie. Her voice, comedic talent, and dancing outshines everyone else in this movie. Very worth your money. If you want to see her very first movie, check out the Betty Grable musical, My Blue Heaven. It is on iTunes as well. It stars Dan Dailey and Betty Grable. Mitzi Gaynor is 19 in it, and she shows some very fancy footwork!
