Roz Russell is fabulous as the glamorous, intelligent, Grande Dame of New York City. She exemplifies the love and adoration with which every mother should show their children. Auntie Mame is a feel-good movie for anyone and everyone!!

Live Live Live says it all. the best movie about life, risk, fear, and incompetence. What a combination. And it all comes down to "education is knowledge." Auntie Mame is about the fun of life, the experience, the love. A movie not to miss. Great lines ("Are we all lit?", "Patrick why didn't you tell me your aunt was literate (upon discovery Auntie Mame wrote a book.)", "Spitting distance. How vivid!") Worth watching again and again.

A must-watch film. The 50's humor transcends time to today very well. There are so many one-liners, you'll need to watch this film twice and write down a few. ''Child - how can you see with all that light?" The only drawback is that the anti-conservative message is ridiculously over-played, as is the Asian stereotype of the help. That part was, well, it was ghastly. It was just ghastly.

I love this movie. This version is MUCH better than the one with Luciille Ball. Don't get me wrong I LOVE LUCY. But Rosiland Russell is MAME. I watch it every chance I get. I love everything she is in. There are so many great moments in this movie. My favorite quote comes from this movie. LIVE! LIVE! LIVE! LIFE IS A BANQUET AND MOST POOR SUCKERS ARE STARVING TO DEATH.

There is -- and there will always be -- only one Mame, and that is Rosalind Russell. Her rapid fire delivery as in "His Girl Friday" suits the wit of the brilliant screenplay perfectly. The only thing better than owning this film is to have seen it on Broadway with her in the starring role.

This is one of those films that you could watch repeatedly without ever tiring of it. One of the all time greats and the late great Rosalind Russell's best work.
