A very good film with an excellent performance by Gary Cooper. The supporting cast of Julie London, Lee J Cobb, and Jack Lord is also excellent, especially Cobb as the crazed, cruel uncle.
Mean, vicious, dark.

Too mean, vicious and dark to enjoy. Don't see the point, really.

What a great surprise. I'm sixty-three and can only say how did I miss this one. My brother and I watched with great interest as this priceless western unfolded and revealed once again that Anthony Mann and this cast of actors were why such classic westerns exist. What a prize! Don't miss this one!
