Captures your attention until the very end. Great acting and a great plot. Something for everyone to always think about what could actually happen to you someday if you are not careful.

I thought the film was good despite its delivery. Thank film centers around the lives of several people; a blind man, a woman with congenital heart disease, a brother, a caretaker in need of bone marrow, a woman who is a survivor of abuse, a wife who is a victim of a car accident, and the protagonist. It’s well written how the lives of these people are intertwined but, it also gets muddled upon delivery. All in all I thought it was a good film. 4 stars.

A moving story for viewers who appreciate putting the pieces of a tale together and are patient enough to do so. This movie's storyline is like fine dining in courses, not fast food, where everything is laid out in front of you at once. Will Smith's broken character took me through an amazing array of emotions but his guilt sacrifice and unrequited relationship left me smiling with tears. Watch this video. My only regret was that I didn't see it in a theater on a big screen.

So I saw this movie in the theaters and I'll say that's it's very good. it's not oscar-worthly big I'm not sure it needs to be. The man makes choices and determines to selectly impact the lives of people he's trusting to be worthly of his gift to ultimately make things right with himself at the end. it's s great rent, if you are a huge will smith fan, it's worth buying. Woody Harrelson I thnk steals the show with his very serious and moving role of the blind man. At points, this movie is hard to watch but that's part of the reason this movie is far better than RT has rated it. Give it a chance.

Absolutely an incredible performance by Will Smith and a speechless story. The writers could have gone the traditional "Hollywood" style of ending, but held tight to the appropriate ending. I imagine that is what resulted in the Rotten Tomatoes ratings, when it fact it should have earned the film an Oscar. Absolutely brilliant film.

The entire purpose of this movie's existence was to get Will Smith another Oscar after 'The Pursuit of Happiness' broke his Oscar winning streak. Much like a spoiled child breaking his mother's ceramic figurines when he doesn't get cookies before dinner. SPOILERS!!! Will Smith kills himself with a Box Jellyfish in order to donate his heart to a woman who desperately needs it....After making her fall in love with him and promising her marriage and children. This movie tells people that it's ok to take your own life and donate your organs to total strangers. That to me, personally, is a reckless and irresponsible message to send. Smith's character becomes emo after causing the death of his fiancé and 6 other people because he was talking on his cellphone while driving. Understandable for the most part. But rather than moving past his grief and striving never to make the same mistakes again, he wallows in self pity and starts creepily stalking the people he intends to give his organs to. Breaking and entering, making obscene phone calls, watching a woman sleep in her hospital bed when he doesn't even know her. My mother's sister decided to take her own life many years before I was born and it nearly tore the family apart. I don't think my mother and grandparents would appreciate the notion of this movie telling people that suicide automatically makes you a martyr. Seven Pounds is a vile and reprehensible piece of trash that only exists because Will Smith is a spoiled, egotistical brat who needs to be sent to his room!
