I was amazed how the parents in this movie had the ability to make their kids feel like crap about themselves. I thought the point of a parenting is to make your offspring the best individuals they can be in this one life. That said--all of the stereo types were excellently portrayed and I loved them ALL. Great movie; funny, touching and totally worth your time. To all the dorky, unsure, lonely, discontented teenagers in high school 9 out of 10 people will tell you life after high school is better. Chin up kids; you'll be fine.

this is one of the few AMAZING movies i have seen. i expected it to be very fake. i thought it was gonna be a typical hollywood "documaentary" that is actually a bunch of actors. but it was the total opposite. thats actually how teenagers act. the popular ones arent like the girls from "mean girls" and guys actually do break up with girls through text messages. this was a for real documentary and I LOVED IT. being an american teenager, i could totally relate to it. i wanna watch it 1,000 more times :)

This was a terrible film. It was cliche filled and predictable. Many aspects of this movie also suggest that it was not completely documentary based and multiple takes were taken. A text message break-up. Come on, that is ridiculous.

This documentary has become one of my favorite movies of all time!! It's so real and Even if Warsaw is a dull town, there's never a dull moment in this masterpiece!! Addicting...you watch it once, you'll watch it over and over.

If I were to use one word to describe this movie it would be "painful". Its pretty painful to watch a group of teens, all at different places mentally and in the maturation process, go through their day to day activities, victories, and failures. In the first 10 minutes I was considering turning it off not because it was bad, but because it was difficult to watch the insecurities of teens so clearly put on view. But alas, we all have been teens at one point, and the more I watched the more I found myself sympathizing, cheering on, or wanting to slap some of the students....and it really hit me for the first time since being a teen just what a difficult time in everyone’s life the teens are. This documentary captures that awkward time that we all have gone or will go through pretty candidly and is certainly worth a watch.

This was such an amazing movie!! i could really relate to it! i watched it two times in one day. Hannah was so strong and Megan was a really mean girl! but i saw her other side which really made me think twice about the girls in my school. joel was a jerk. Mitch was nice but not right for hannah. Jeff and ali were cute together and colin had so much pressure put on him!. i thought jake was really cute, i felt so bad for him tho. Lorrin was just mean by doing that. I LOOVE THIS MOVIEE!

Perhaps I would have liked this movie a lot more had I not grown up in northern Indiana. The movie has a lot of inconsistencies that I assume wouldnt normally be noticed by the typical viewer, but anyone in Indiana could tell you that high school basketball season doesn't begin until late November and is over by mid-March. Take a second look in any of the basketball scenes - the 'opponent' varies in clips supossedly from the same game. In one particular instance Warsaw rebounds a shot taken by Whitko and then shoots against Northwood. This was probably only apparent to me because I was eager to see which of the teams in my conference were depicted, but I found it to be poor editing. At least they actually did win the sectional....
