It’s Jason, it’s not supposed to be a serious horror movie. I Loved how they connected to the Evil Dead and set it up for the Freddy vs. Jason movie. Great cheesy fun.

This is definitely a weak entry in the Friday The 13th franchise. But Jason looks so cool, only he’s maybe in the movie 20 minutes all together. The body hoping was lame! The story of a family member killing him with a magical dagger etc. but had some cool kills and Apple/iTunes has this labeled as R rated version but it’s actually the unrated version which is awesome for blood and gore. But I still get some replay enjoyment from such a bad movie.

It is a time killer that’s about it the only part that is good is when Jason comes back in the end only to die again
  • Waste of three bucks.

Have been marathoning the Friday the 13th series, and this was the first film I genuinely regretted investing any amount of my time into. Overall poor construction, a nonsensical and ill fitting gimmick, and an OST so cheap the movie may have actually been better off sans music altogether. Barring the intentional formula deconstruction at the very beginning, I can safely say that this franchise would have been better off with the “Final Friday” taking place in the hilariously desensitized sewers of Manhattan. Rest In Pieces(for another 16 years, anyway) Mr. Voorhees, you got done dirty this day.

I’ve seen people praising this movie, and my question is... Dear god, WHY? A body swapper element in a Friday the 13th movie is like having Jason in finding Nemo. It just. Doesn’t. Work. Not to mention the Vorhees family plot line. It was beyond poorly constructed. Easily the worst in the series. Not even booze could save it. and to those saying the kills were great, watch it again while awake. Because I’m willing to bet you just fell asleep and dreamt up a better movie.
  • Excellent film in the series

This movie is cool because it’s a departure from the same story line in every other Friday film. This movie is cool and holds a special place in my heart. Great movie for Halloween and a fun time.

Ok the only Jason I saw was Freddy vs Jason years back. I saw this a thought why not. I actually thought was good. It wasn’t the same slash em cat and mice kind of movie like most Jason ones that I think are know for. This one has a different plot which is a good change of pace for the franchise of Jason movies. Good job with the different plot it made it something new and unpredictable even though you knew what was gonna happen. Horror movies are sometimes pretty predictable. But either way it was good.

I will confess that I am not the biggest fan of Jason but I absolutely love this installment. Now Itunes misprinted the rating. This is not the R Rated version. This is very much the Unrated Version. They are bloody, gruesome and this movie serves us the highest body count then any of the other installments. Apple I do not know how you did it but you did and I give you kudos. But as mentioned this is indeed the Unrated Version of the movie. Have fun.

The story may be atrocious. The body hopping may be ridiculous. The lack of (actual) Jason may be downright disheartening. …but this movie is a gore hound’s wet dream. Jason Goes to Hell features more kills than any other installment of Friday the 13th...and they are absolutely VIOLENT in this flick. There is no point in watching the R rated cut of this movie, and I’m happy to report the rating is mislabeled on iTunes…this is the unrated cut! It clocks in at 91 minutes (the R rated cut is 87 minutes)...all the gore is here, and in all its goopy glory. Enjoy!
