Deserves a rating of 3 this movie was not horrifying at all to me if you like watching movies with terrible editing and costumes with obvious fake blood be y guest to watch this. The concept was nice, but would be very confusing to the average movie watcher.
  • Sick Twist of a Slasher

From the synopsis of the film, one might expect some sort of hideous discovery and exploration of the supernatural. If the film were only that, it would have been very dull, as the first third of the film actually is. But the brilliance behind the "B-rated" acting and storytelling, as the character Nick West actually says about the plot progression, is that it is actually there to misdirect the audience. This might be received one way or the other, since recognizing and calling itself a "bad" film doesn't necessarily redeem or add any value to a bad film. But the portrayal of the menace by Andrew Howard near the end of the film is reminiscent of Jack Nicholson in The Shining, and its sheer power and creepiness brings the film to a completely different, and very interesting level. If you find yourself falling asleep before halfway into the film, please remind yourself that there is more. Whether or not you enjoy the conclusion of the film, however, cannot be guaranteed. One thing that is certain is that this is a gem of a film for horror fans who are willing to look past the surface that it advertises. Simply sit through the "badly acted" development and the somewhat distracting commentary of Andrew Howard throughout, and audiences will find that not only is this a film that turns the horror genre on its head, but manages to succeed as a truly terrifying story that puts a mirror up to the viewers themselves and blatantly (and somehow subtly at the same time) directs them to reexamine their own obsessions in the bloody and the gory. Oh and did I mention that there's plenty of humor? Sit back and enjoy the ride.

If seeing people with strawberry jam smeared all over their faces screaming on the floor scares you, then this movie will terrify you. Fortunately, I did not pay any money to see this, so all I wasted was my time... I kept waiting for the scary part to start, and then, just when it should have gotten scary, the movie was over. What was the point?

I have to say that this movie was outstanding and completely exceeded my expectations! It has been such a long time since a horror flick has surprised and/or excited me. This movie did both and is certainly worth a watch. It is not to be lumped into a group with your average horror films; expect something different and you will be surprised.

For being a b-rated type horror movie i actually really liked it. What really actracted me was the name. Most parts are confusing and the Demon was cheaply made but just watching Nick going insane was good enough for me to have an orgasim.

This movie is visually stunning, and some of the shots have a dizzying effect that add to the layers of madness. I recommend it.

When reading the trailer for this movie I thought it would be very interesting, scary, and a great movie. After watching the movie I repeatedly asked myself, "Huh?" The movie left me very confused and there wasn't much of a chill factor. I know the plot was supposed to be based around the chair but it seems very blurry to me.
