Saw this as a kid. I thought the Corvette was the greatest car and so this movie was an instant classic. It’s fun and entertaining.
  • Like mark but not this movie.

I don’t like the acting or story line. Kinda of stupid.

This, along with Ron Howard's "Eat My Dust", makes for a pair of the worst car movies of the 1970s. It was one of Mark Hamil's very few non-Star Wars movies and, other than the fact that SW made Hamil rich, it is a curiosity that Hamil did not seriously pursue a film career like SW costar Harrison Ford. Voicing the Joker for Batman cartoons is as far as Hamil went. As for Corvette Summer, it is truly a junk film, and it is a bit tawdry. It is hardly a movie that would have vast appeal for the intended audience. The direction, the story, and the overall feel is just plain off. Even when selling for half a buck, it is still overpriced.

Between Star Wars and the Empire strikes back Mark Hamill filmed this fun little teenage romp about a young man obsessed with finding his stolen beloved senior project, his candy apple metalflake red Corvette. Hilarity ensues as he heads to Vegas on a tip and begins his summer adventure! Annie Potts is terrific as the hooker with a heart of gold. Good clean fun!

I remember as a 13 year old boy in upstate NY watching this on HBO. What a cool movie. I knew who Mark Hamill was but had no idea Annie Potts was in it. Adorable.......... Good movie.

One of my all-time favorites. Mark at his over-acting, passionate best was just awesome ... Potts was fantastic ...and the car, what can you say? It's just timeless. Love that black Camaro as well. I still use the lines from this flick - "Vanessa, we gotchr friend", "what about the caaaar". Love this movie! :-)

Great show, sure it is older and the fx show it but it's a great car show for people who love cars. if you were a kid in the 70's and haven't seen this movie, watch it now!
