Description

Action box office sensation Steven Seagal ("Above the Law," "Hard to Kill") is a martial arts expert/chef in this adventure-packed story of terrorism at sea. Earning over $83,000,000 at the box office, Siskel & Ebert give it "two thumbs up!" and say it's "one of the best times you're going to have at a movie this year." The New York Times calls it "enjoyable... intoxicating... it keeps you watching!" Also starring Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones ("Batman Forever," "The Fugitive") and Oscar-nominee Gary Busey ("The Firm," "The Buddy Holly Story").

Just a good old fashioned action flick, and easily Seagal’s best movie. It’s a shame how far he’s fallen since then.

Tommy Lee Jones really brings it in this film. His character is totally wild and deranged. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Seven Seagal, so I really just watched for Tommy Lee Jones. But for what it's worth, I still felt it's worth watching again.

This movie most reminded me of Die Hard. Has the same concept with terrorists vs. an underdog. Good watch if you like this stuff or Steven Seagal.

Why does iTunes charge $1 more to rent movies from an iPod than it does to rent them from a pc? iTunes, you are about to loose my business with your unscrupulous tactics. I did not pay over $200 for an iPod to be ripped off on purchases and rentals. Think about staying in business. A rethink of your business model might be in order.
  • Seagal's finest - and it's pretty good!

This is a very good movie for a lot of reasons. Busey is hysterical and yet menacing. I like Tommy Lee Jones's encounters with Seagal. The ship is a great set. If every thing Steven Seagal did later was as good as this... but alas.

Oh dear. Where to start? Absurd storyline only gets worse as the action gets more improbable. It's not clear why this warship needed to be hijacked, but what the heck, it all ends happily enough. Patriotic hog wash. A fun romp, but don't expect to take anything very much seriously.
