Description

Mason Storm, a 'go it alone' cop, is gunned down at home. The intruders kill his wife, and think they've killed both Mason and his son too. Mason is secretly taken to a hospital where he spends several years in a coma. His son meanwhile is growing up thinking his father is dead. When Mason wakes up, everyone is in danger - himself, his son, his best friend, his nurse - but most of all those who arranged for his death.

Well, I'd say "Above The Law," which iTunes has yet to secure is the best of Seagal's vehicles. But, this one, which seems to be on cable TV about every other month has it's moments. Those moments being the fight scenes, NOT those irritating times in between when "acting" is going on. That said, he's done some great fight scenes over the years. Mainly in his first 4 or 5 films. Steven, if you're reading this, drop 40 or 50lbs., lose the long coats that hide the gut and get back to less contrived "plots," and do what you did best - dispatching thugs on the streets and in bars and pool halls. And please - no more extreme closeup, slow-motion stuff. We Aikido buffs want our fights un-watered down. Also: it's NEVER too late to enroll yourself in acting classes and work just as hard for that as you obviously have the martial arts. I'm just sayin'...
