Description

Vowing to move to Canada if John Kerry loses the 2004 election, fervent liberal John Logue (Breckin Meyer) suddenly finds himself with no job, no girlfriend and no country! Making good on his campaign promise, Logue finds a traveling companion--a sexy, mysterious woman named Chloe (Anna Paquin)--and heads north. But Chloe is not all that she seems, and their journey takes more twists and turns than either could have imagined in this romantic comedy that's as poignant as it is "disarmingly fun" (Martin Kelley, CinemATL).

I am a democrat so my not liking this film has nothing to do with politics. Run screaming from this film. It is not worth the 3 bucks--it is really boring. I hated the scenes in Canada--they were depressing.

This movie made me laugh so hard! I am a big Anna Paquin fan and I think she did a wonderful job in this. It has great humor and a great plot. I would totally have moved to canada if Bush won (which obviously happened) even though I was like in 8th grade at the time. But this movie gets 5 stars and totally diserves it. If you havent seen it, GO WATCH IT NOW!

I downloaded this on rental because I was in the mood for any movie and thought, looks pretty good. Turned out to be better then I thought and now sits next to Garden State and Juno on my shelves as a must have romantic. Of course political also, it is a very good film for politics and romance. "Politics makes strange bedfellows" is indeed true, politics and romance.
