Description

The Full Moon Mating Ceremony, a real-life penguin tradition, requires that bachelor birds present pebbles to their sweethearts. And in this film, a shy bird named Hubie has the perfect stone for his love, Marina. But there's considerable competition for Marina's affections, and in an exciting race against time, sea, storm and a host of other obstacles, Hubie learns that it's not the perfect pebble but rather the perfect penguin that always gets the girl.

  • Good concept, weak storyline

The Pebble and the Penguin didn't entertain me so much like Ferngully did. The concept was pretty good, but the storyline was pretty weak. This movie lacked a lot of laughs, and I don't remember laughing out loud like I did when I watched Ferngully; the last rainforest. The songs were completely forgettable, and they were pretty weak, too. I didn't hate this movie, but it wasn't that good either.

The movie is ok. I really don't like the story or characters. This is, to me, the worst don bluth movie. I was not impressed.

The story's not that good, the voice acting's just okay, the animation is nice but not great, the songs are awfully unmemorable, and it's just forgettable and blandly done.

I only saw a few parts of that movie and that was it. I remember seeing it a long time ago. Well look on the bright side, I can possibly get it and watch it on my laptop. iTunes needs the other Don Bluth movies too. iTunes needs A Troll in Central Park, Thumbelina, An American Tail and The Land Before Time. It even needs the other sequels from a couple movies. But I'm very sure that this movie is great. It sounds adorable. I loved Marina's last quote "It's not a pebble, it's a penguin. I love you more". That was the best quote I ever heard. I'm pretty sure I'll love that movie.
