Description

THE COOLER is Bernie Lootz (William H. Macy), the unluckiest man in Vegas. His bad luck is so contagious that Shelly Kaplow (Alec Baldwin), the last of the old time mobsters, uses Bernie to kill the high rollers' action at his casino.     I…could not enjoy this movie. Love the cast, love the premise….but it was just so boring to me. It had a lot of great qualities and I know a lot of people thought it was good, but I couldn't get into it. Just felt like there was a giant gaping hole in the substance of the movie and felt no emotion.

    Hands down one of the best Vegas movies ever made. Baldwin puts in a superb performance as the mob employed old school casino manager along with Macy's hang dog looking "cooler" Bernie. Great flick that really imparts the darker side of Glitter Gulch.

    The previous reviews made me want to watch the cooler but honestly, it wa just okay. I kept looking at the clock to se how much I still had to watch! That's no a good sign. It was entertaining, the actors were good, but the entire project mingles on the border of "low budget" and boring storyline.

    Very unique story, did not know what to expect when viewing this movie, was very surprised by the multiple plots and deep character roles. I would say add this to your collection if you are sappy love stroy type.

    Last time I wrote a review they didn't publish, I guess they only accept good ones or they are all fake because you can't trust these reviews at all. As soon as a corporation gets big enough all turns bad. I used to love Apple and now I'm beginning to hate it.

    Like the other reviewer said, like Fargo....a dark comedy of sorts, but with an unexpected ending. Loved It!!

    The man in this movie is a complete scare. Its true. He SCARES me. I don't know who would even write about a man this unusual. The woman in this movie is a freaky woman who would never be paired up with a man like the man in the movie. Napolean Dynamite was better than this. How dare anyone buy this movie. Disappointing...
