    This is a crackling and suspenseful film that is excellent in all areas. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a finely made story of revenge.

    A so-so thriller with decent performances by Terence Stamp and Luis Guzman.

    88 Minutes of great, intense film making. Terence Stamp is outstanding as a fish out of water, an English gangster in L.A., a vengeful father wracked with guilt and regret at how his time in prison robbed his daughter of a father, determined to exact revenge on the man (Peter Fonda) responsible for his daughter's death. Great supporting performances (Leslie Ann Warren, Nicky Katt, Luis Guzman, Barry Newman), excellent soundtrack. A truly wonderful film that was overlooked. Soderburg's best in my humble opinion. Check it out for the opening sequence alone.

    This is one of the worst movies i have ever watched. If it was not the only movie I had on my iPhone while on a plane flight I would not have watched more than the first 15 minutes. Desperate to appear artsy it has segments that go through painful back and forth memories and replays of his thoughts and actions. Totally unbelievable and more importantly uninteresting. I got this when it rented for 99¢ but would want more of a refund because I can't get my time back!

    This is one of my all time favorite films. One of the few films I can watch over and over. The acting is wonderful (Terence Stamp is perfect). I especially like how Soderbergh used footage from one of Stamp's early films as flashback footage. I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves a good tale.

    Well the style of this movie is interesting (keeps switching back-and-fourth between future, present and past) it is confusing (it doesn't tell you when or what's going on...ever). The movie runs very slowly also. That is to say, the plot never really gets going until the last 1/5 of the movie. Alternate styles are lovely, but this is just a bit 'awkward' for me. I'm not a major movie critic. Things I look for in a movie: funny, action, car chase!! This movie has some mild action (VERY not packed) and an stale attempt at a car chase. Thanks for bothering to read this :}

    A very smart film. Strong characters emerge from the writing. Soderbergh at his best -- tight, controlled and efficient. Well worth it.

    superficial characters -- poor acting -- weak dialogue. I was very disapointed.

    The rest of the cast and the direction don't disappoint, either.
