Description

U.S. agent Nick Allen (Billy Dee Williams) has his own idea about how to fight a war on drugs: go to the source...and cut the big-time traffickers down. Embittered over the drug-related death of his teenage daughter, Nick sets out to do just that. With stone-cold intensity, he locates and trains a dirty half-dozen recruits for a commando raid on the kingpins of a French drug syndicate. Each recruit has his or her own reason for being part of the death squad. And each has a lethal, take-no-prisoners specialty. Richard Pryor costars as one of the daring team members, and underwater warfare expert armed with a deadly air and a killer wit.

"HIt!" is a well-directed movie by Sidney Furie. He reminds the audience that drug barons come from all different races, counties, and speak various languages. All of the characters were well chosen, as though they were meant for their respective roles. Bill Dee William is determined to exact revenge and fastidiously goes about how he will do it. It is something that anyone who has lost someone they love and care about to drugs or violence can relate to. This movie is definitely one for your movie collection.

Hit! Has everything your looking for in an action flick. Action, drama, and plenty of laughs. Although billed as a blaxploitation film, that is far from the truth. Billy Dee Williams, Richard Pryor, Gwen Welles & Janear Hines turn in a riveting performance. When Nick Allen (played by Billy Dee) Sees his daughter die of an overdose - he decides rather than take down local pushers he goes to France to take out the top echelon in the drug trade. A must watch.
