I like my movies like I like my eggs, Hard-Boiled. This is a tough and gritty flick and very enjoyable, despite Anthony Franciosa's ridiculous over-acting. The race-relations angle seems dated after 40 years have passed, but great story and acting from Kotto and Quinn. Worth the money.

My first entree to blaxploitation, and I was pleasantly surprised with the unpredictable story line and great ending.

This was one of Elvis Presley's favorite films, according to the legend. He could apparently quote the entire film from start to finish. Anthony Franciosa (R.I.P.) is especially good as the mob's errand boy.

Across 110th street, is a Blaxploitatition film from 1972, starring Yaphet Koto, and Anthony Quinn. The Music was done by J J Johnson and Bobby Womack. It was about these three black men who were middle aged and have had it hard being in Harlem their whole lives, so they decide to Rob the Mob, and they make it out the door. The mob is quite angry and want all the men found cause they feel as if they were made fools of, and they want to show that no one can direspect them and get away with. Within 25 hours all three men are caught and killed, its one of the best movies I've ever seen and it is worth getting 100% theres alot that i did not add so you must watch and see for your self.. By the way this has the best soundtrack i have ever heard. I guess i coulod not expect any less, I mean Bobby Womack is the man.. He is my favorite of all time.. Ali Jordana aka SoulQueen
