Being born and raised in Massillon and still living there today, I personally witnessed this season and many others from the stadium. I can honestly say this is exactly what football is like in Massillon. People here eat breath and sleep football!!!!
  • Great football town

My high school played down in massillon a few years ago. It's astounding how many people fill up their stadium, on both sides. Even the away side had mostly home fans. They were outraged when we won 10-3.

I was so excited when I searched under documentaries and came across this movie. This movie took place my senior year at Massillon, it was wonderful being a part of it. Knowing what Massillon is all about its very intense. Football is like a religion to us, and if you love football you'll love this movie.

Go Tigers is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever seen. It gives and in depth analysis look at a football obsessed town. I play football at Massillon and the movie does not get any more real. We do live breathe and eat football. This movie is and always will be the best movie of high school sports. Perfect Effort will not come close. I say this because Massillon is where football was born. 22 State and 9 National titles pretty much sums this program up. Both are National Records. You know your town is Big when your known world wide as "Tiger Town, U.S.A."

After seeing this film for the first time I was compelled to watch it again -- IT'S THAT GOOD! I thought I was watching well cast actors, not real people. Things in this film are so unbelievable. From a 22,000 seat (high school) stadium, to red-shirting 8th graders for football, to a fan self-appointed, "Tiger Lady", who hasn't missed a game in 40 years, to a Booster Club that makes it common practice to put orange footballs in every newborn's crib in the local hospital. Most sports movies are contrived and forced -- not this film, everything is real. Epic gridiron action, fascinating, not to mention, well developed characters, poignant teenage angst stuff, small town politics, truly a classic anthropological study of how rust-belt, midwestern hamlet ticks! WAY COOL!
  • OK For a High School Football Movie

I originally saw this movie when it was in theaters, then bought the DVD, and now will have to buy it on i-Tunes!! It's a documentary that plays like a fictional film and is very well done. Great story flow and characters, and perfectly captured by the film-makers, I would highy recommend this film about a small Ohio town and their high school football team's struggle to rebuild after a disappointing season.
