Eleven years after Mitchell went missing, Laura Harris is still obsessed with finding her son-hanging computer-aged posters of Mitchell wherever she goes. Her marriage has fallen apart, her other two children choose to live with their dad, and her last volunteer at the Mitchell Harris Center is leaving. It's time for her to move on. However, when a young man who claims to be Mitchell shows up at her office, Laura is overjoyed and instantly brings him into her family's life. But, when he shows his shadowy dark side to his siblings, Laura confronts him with a DNA test. Her dream of a family reunion starts to falter, as Mitchell's behavior becomes more extreme leading her to question whether this blessing is really a nightmare.
