Martin takes a summer holiday job as a night watchman at the hospital morgue. Here he meets Detective Inspector Wörmer (Ulf Pilgaard), who is investigating a series of gruesome murders. Suddenly, mysterious things begin to happen in the basement corridors of the morgue - someone is trying to drive Martin insane. He is whirled into a web of well-planned evidence that all points to himself as the wanted serial killer.
