I am mystified why Hollywood regurgitates new versions of films that were already well done. Why not release new versions of older films that could be improved? The original Roadhouse, though not a classic masterpiece was kind of perfect for what it was. It has a charm I've revisited numerous times and the Swayze character is a joy. Sam Elliot, Jeff Healy, Patrick Swayze, Ben Gazzara can't be re-cast with a "better" actors and the case of Roadhouse 2024 this is proven without a doubt.

I really wanted to like this but the cartoon level of action/violence the casting decisions based on diversity first and actors second, and the unbelievably cliched choices in characters made this a disturbingly forgettable waste of time. Watch a Road Runner or Bugs Bunny cartoon instead.
