The Kings and Queens we know now have almost no political power in modern society. But in Medieval Europe, the monarchs were seen as God’s representatives on Earth and wielded tyrannical power over their subjects. They brought with them dynasties that ruled for centuries and brought stability to their kingdoms. But it wasn’t easy.
