When clueless tech-bro Troy (Jimmy Tatro) arrives to run the property — into the ground — Amos, Rebecca-Diane and production manager Glenn (Noah Galvin) band together with the staff and young students, staging a masterpiece to keep their beloved summer camp afloat. “Theater Camp” is directed by Molly Gordon & Nick Lieberman from a screenplay by Noah Galvin, Molly Gordon, Nick Lieberman & Ben Platt, based on their short film. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.

This is the worst most pointless movie I have ever had the displeasure to watch 15 minutes of. It was enough to make me angry at the world. Lower than a “B movie” production. What is going on in this world? Has everyone gone insane?

This isn’t funny enough to cover up the lack of story or character development. A few gags, most of which are featured in the trailer pepper a narrative that is pretty one dimensional. The counselors are lack depth enough to care about their subplot, and the kids, which are generally interesting to watch, are never given the screen time to get to know them.
