Ray Romano makes an excellent directorial debut in the story he co- wrote about the ties that bind a family. As the story unfolds the viewer has the opportunity to attempt to understand what it means to have the support of family and what happens when parents try to raise their children to fulfill their lost dreams. Filled with heart and dry humor. This is a movie that is a diamond in disguise .

If you’re going to leave a review with a spoiler, add a warning first. Giving away key parts of the story in a review without a heads up is a d*#k move.

I just so happened to click on this movie and watch the trailer, and because nothing good new is out, I turned this movie on. One of the most feel good, cozy warm, movies that remind me of the small town I grew up in, but happens to be about Queens. One of the better surprise movies, I have stumbled across in honestly years. Must watch.

This movie is so depressing. The actors are good. The screenplay in bad. The kid gives up a full ride I’m order to pursue spoken word?? A poetry career??? The director tries to show how letting your kid make such a huge mistake is okay as long as the kid is following his dream. NO!!! Go to college. Then make your mistakes. Hollywood at its finest. Giving bad advice to millions who will inevitable thing it’s good advice. Ugh
