In 1953, a woman named Clarita is imprisoned after being suspected as a mentally-ill prostitute. Strange events begin to unfold when her doctors are killed in the process of trying to cure her, causing the public to believe that Clarita is demonically possessed. These events force Mayor Lacson to recruit the help of Father Salvador and Father Benedicto to lead the exorcism. Meanwhile, a photojournalist named Emilia tags along and helps the priests, investigating the truth about Clarita's possession and her life story. However, exorcising the demon proves to be difficult for the priests and the photojournalist as they battle their own inner demons. Emilia struggles to help Clarita in order to redeem herself for not helping her sister. Father Benedicto struggles with the memory of his mother. And Father Salvador struggles to let go of his pride and belief that only he can accomplish the exorcism. In the end, the three must rise above their own inner demons in order to perform the exorcism and save Clarita's soul from evil.
