Description

The story of three lifelong friends who overcame domestic violence, substance abuse, and depression to form Life of Agony, one of the most influential bands in its genre, led by the very first openly transgender singer. Through the success of their groundbreaking 1993 debut River Runs Red, hailed by Rolling Stone as One of the Greatest Metal Albums of All Time, they channeled their cumulative life stories into a soundtrack for a broken generation. This newfound fame allowed them to suppress the tragedies of their past, but in its wake new obstacles arose.

I’ve been a fan since I first saw the “Through and Through” video on Headbangers Ball. I knew the band was always tight, but had no idea how close they were until this documentary. So many highlights…from Mina’s journey, Joey’s relationship with his dad, Alan’s bouts of depression. This is a documentary you need to watch a few times, and I plan to. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

The best music movie / documentary I’ve ever seen Life Of Agony is the most original metal/hardcore band I’ve ever heard or seen live, they have a sound and lyrics like nobody else, after watching this movie you’ll learn the true real meaning of their songs and music and where it all stems from, it’s a crazy story of 3 lifelong friends who grew up and overcame , hardship, abuse, neglect sorrow and depression amongst other things , it’s a must see and a real look into the band and their original style Loved their music before but now k using where it all comes from I think I like it more!!!! Definitely check this out River Runs Red Forever!!!! See you all in the pit
