The animation has come a long way from volume 1 but the story just isn't there. Music in this one wasn't as good either

I would be surprised if this volume didn't win awards in just about everything: Animation, music score/soundtrack, script/story, voice acting, etc. This one totally blows away all the past volumes. The stand out for this volume by far is the animation, and the voice acting. And when I say by far, I mean BY FAR! I love RWBY, I'm a fan of the story, but I'm a bigger fan of the technical stuff (I'm weird like that lol,) and no offense to CRWBY and Rooster Teeth, the past volumes animation and acting was subpar compared to this current volume. RWBY Volume 8 is truly a work of art. It felt less like watching an Animated TV Show and more like an Animated Cinema Event. The voice acting was phenomenal, which is a level I've primarily associated in previous volumes with voice actors & actresses: Jones, Eberle, Zech, Dismuke, Luna, Rose, and McNee the most, but THIS volume made them next level, especially Jones, Zech, and Rose. In previous volumes, their emotional range was soap opera-ish, but in Vol 8, their emotional range has skyrocketed to Hollywood movie level. The voice actors and actresses of the villains have already been at that level, so it always felt like listening to an imbalance in VA talent. But now? Gap closed!! Absolute perfection! The 2 monumentally improved from previous volumes was Dunkleman and Ireland. With the massive improvements with animation and voice acting alone, I'm truly very excited to see what's in store for us for Vol 9 and beyond.
